Azan

Azanis call to Muslims for performing the Islamic ritual of salah. It is given by the muezzin of the masjid five times a day. It is given at fixed times. Azan is to notify a Muslim that it’s time for namaz and that he/she should quit the worldly chores and head towards Allah and supplication. Here’s is the content of azan.

4x	الله أكبر	Allahu Akbar	God is greatest
2x	أشهد أن لا اله إلا الله	Ash-hadu an-la ilaha illa llah	I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except for Allah.
2x	أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله	Ash-hadu anna Muħammadan-Rasulullah	I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
2x	حي على الصلاة	Hayya 'ala s-salah	Hasten to the prayer ('salat').
2x	حي على الفلاح	Hayya 'ala 'l-falah	Hasten to success.
2x	الله أكبر	Allāhu akbar	Allah is greatest.
1x	لا إله إلا الله	La ilaha illa-Allah	There is none worthy of worship except Allah.
