After
Christianity Islam is the second largest growing religion in the world. Islam
holds many beliefs and practices in common with Christianity. Islam considers Christians as the People of the book. Islamic
doctrines comprise of testimony, prayers, alms giving fasting, and pilgrimage
all of which have parallels in Christianity. However, there are certain core tenets
that differ completely between Islam and Christianity. These tenets are trinity,
the divine Christianity, the atonement
of Christ, the grace of God, and the nature of the afterlife. This article
gives a brief guide of the similarities and differences of Islam and
Christianity.
